Welcome to the GenAI for Public Good Hackathon

👋 Congratulations! You have been selected to participate in the first edition of the GenAI for Public Good Hackathon, an international event that brings together experts, developers, and public sector professionals to create impactful, open-source solutions for public services.

📅 Dates: February 5–6, 2025

📍 Location: Hôtel de Rothelin-Charolais, 101 rue de Grenelle, 75007 Paris (Ministry of Public Action, Civil Service, and Simplification)

Team Composition and Collaboration

Team Structure

Teams should consist of 2–6 members with complementary skills, such as:

  • AI Developers: For algorithm design and model implementation.
  • Public Service Professionals: To align solutions with operational needs.
  • Designers: To ensure usability and impactful presentations.

Best Practices for Collaboration

  • Role Definition: Assign clear responsibilities to team members to avoid overlap.
  • Task Prioritization: Break tasks into manageable steps and track progress regularly.
  • Tool Usage: Utilize platforms such as GitHub or Onyxia Datalab for collaborative development and version control.

Objectives

Organized as part of the AI Action Summit 2025, led by DINUM through its incubator ALLiaNCE, this event aims to:

    1. Create international digital commons: Develop open-source solutions that address tangible public service challenges.
    2. Promote digital sovereignty: Support ethical, transparent tools that are independent of proprietary technologies.
    3. Encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration: Unite public administrations, AI experts, and civil society to tackle high-impact initiatives.
